Day 924 - Mama's Still Cooking Too Much For Supper
Shoes: Leopard print 'Edna' Irregular Choice
Some days just don't photograph well, whether that was down to me actually looking like a sack of spuds or the camera making me look like that, I don't know! I got a shock today though, when it came to editing the images and realising I didn't have all that much to work with, yikes! It usually comes the day after you've had a particularly nice outfit/hair/makeup too. It's like an ancient blogging law that you can't look good two days running. It's to keep you grounded and stop your head from getting too big! Anyway in the flesh, my makeup was so soft and pretty and my hair was kinda awesome. The dress, I'm never too sure about if I'm honest. I don't think the colour does anything for me and it does make me look sack'o'spud like in real life as well as on camera. Plus it was creased to bits and I just ironed it last week, annoying.com. I added a belt to try and give the sack shape but meh, don't think it helped. Add to this the fact my Mum came out with me on my walk to "hold my dress down" as it was a little windier than I/we realised. Gosh, how embarrassing is that? I did put on an underskirt, but I shoulda had on leggings or maybe a weighted hem like the Queen! Such is life as a girl...in a potato sack ; )
Wearing: Beige polka dot dress H By Henry Holland, belt taken from another dress.
Fit: A little snug, but I wouldn't size up personally. Just over 4" heel.
Comfort: Very comfy and no walking problems.

Day 923 - Life's Too Short To Be Sittin' Round Miserable
Shoes: Cream and black 'Role' River Island Design Forum (Sophia Webster)
After bold makeup the day before, I was keen for a fresh, natural look yesterday. For once, I loved everything about this outfit and the hair and makeup. Clothes wise, I'm really trying to wear those items that are full-on summer before it gets any cooler. I think my bare legged days are numbered! Well we have The X-Factor starting this weekend, so that's the countdown to Christmas starting isn't it? Back to my shoes and I knew these would rub the backs of my legs wearing them without socks/tights/leggings, but I love the look of pairing a pretty, girly dress with boots. These have to be one of my all-time favourite pairs of shoes and I sooo called it, way back when, that the lady that designed these would go onto big things. They were part of the design forum collection (designed by fashion students) for River Island and the designer in question was none other than Sophia Webster. She worked under Nicholas Kirkwood until the launch of her own label, which I'm lucky enough to own a pair of (and they are super fabulous I might add). I adore these and would never sell them, I think they sum up my style quite well.
Wearing: Turquoise floral dress Dorothy Perkins, cardigan Primark, flower hair clip (part of set) ASOS.
Fit: True to size, back zip, 4 1/4" heel.
Comfort: Easy to walk in, but the backs will rub on bare legs.

Day 922 - She's A Big Top Ten With Bright Spotlights
Shoes: Blue spot 'Flopsy' Irregular Choice
Oopsy, a little late with my outfit yesterday! I had three hours of stuff to watch on TV last night and by the time I mastered this weird makeup for Monster High Monday, I didn't have much time left to edit both posts and write them up. This is another one of those Henry Holland dresses I've been hoarding but never worn. I actually kinda regretted buying it actually, it's cute but not 'wow'. I like the daisy print in the hearts, but shirt dresses aren't really my thing. I don't want to be too negative about it though, it's a nice enough dress and outfit. I just wasn't feeling FABulous in it, you know? It was an excuse to wear my bunnies once again, so that's a good thing! Still waiting for the right moment to wear the gnomes...I'm sucking up those last days of summer first.
Wearing: Heart print shirt dress H By Henry Holland, leggings Primark, boat cardigan Peacocks.
Fit: I find my regular size short in length (despite them measuring the standard size), so for comfort I'm wearing the size up although they do feel a little big.
Comfort: Easy to walk in, didn't feel uncomfortable.

Day 921 - I Need A Moment To Deliberate
Shoes: Pink satin shoes Miu Miu
I didn't plan on going anywhere yesterday. Actually I didn't even think I'd bother getting dressed, but I ended up on a very random outing. Making you all curious right? Long story short, I saw this Vivienne Westwood notebook that is ridiculously gorgeous and currently free (from various places) with the fragrance. I was going to buy online from Escentual, but I already own Boudoir (don't need another one) and couldn't remember what the others smelt like. Yesterday morning, checking my emails, I notice Escentual had a bank holiday offer where you were getting an extra 10 or 15% off and I realised I needed to buy the fragrance NOW. So I get dressed and Mum and I go off to Dundee, pop into Debenhams, then all the way home again. Yes, that WHOLE trip, just to spray perfume. Yes, I'm slightly mental! Debenhams still have an old gwp online, but instore they had the notebook and it's stunning. Anyway I decided on Flirty Alice which reminds me of Parma Violets (do you still get them?) and placed a very expensive and very indulgent (but I'm so excited about) order from Escentual last night. The fragrance, Dior and Guerlain goodies are on their way, whoopee! I hardly had any time to take photos of my outfit and was too tired when I got home. It was super easy to edit them today, because there were so few and so many were for the bin! Unfortunately you don't get to see my cute sparkly teal eyeshadow because I wore my glasses and the handbag photo is an old one because I forgot to take a pic of that. Oh my gosh I just remembered, this was my first time using this bag and I found a gold bracelet in the inside pocket yesterday!! It's broken in a couple of places, but someone must've dropped it into the bag.
Wearing: Green patterned dress and black leggings Primark, black cardigan Bonmarche, Jeepers Peepers vintage cat eye glasses ASOS, unicorn ring and gold horse wings necklace Topshop, diamond midi ring my Granny's, flower ring Miss Selfridge, 'Layna' handbag J by Jasper Conran.
Fit: True to size. 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Did pinch my toes after a while.

Day 920 - Soon You Were Eating Off My Spoon
Shoes: Beige pom pom 'Lady Dragon' Vivienne Westwood Anglomania & Melissa
It's taken me ages to wear this dress for various reasons. Firstly, I ordered it online (months ago) and they sent it folded, in a teeny plastic bag, so it was completely creased and unwearable. Before the wardrobe clear-out, I couldn't really justify ironing it just to shove it into the depths of the closet to be crushed some more. So it sat unloved and unworn. It's yellow. Like I don't really wear yellow nor think I suit it, so I wasn't quite sure how to style it/what to wear it with. Also it was slightly too tight on the bust, but having lost some weight, it fits better now. After ironing it a few weeks ago, I thought the navy pattern (bows and hearts) could be picked out, so I could wear it with a navy cardigan and possibly navy shoes. Then I remembered my Irregular Choice 'Prom Princess' yellow wedges. It turns out when I tried them today, they were a deeper, warmer yellow and looked kinda silly, so I went with neutral shoes. I haven't worn my pom poms much this season due to losing them in amongst shoe-mountain! I still don't think I suit yellow and it clashes with my hair now, but hey ho. Can you see the cool streaky purple bits in my hair today? I finished my post on the hair dye I used (here) if you're interested. The colour is really growing on me.

Day 919 - Living From A Tip Jar, Sleeping In My Car
Shoes: Black wedge 'Superstar' Bertie
Had a wee trip to the shops yesterday as I needed to get something for a friends daughter. The shops weren't that good or maybe I was just in one of those "I don't need it" moods. I got a couple of new Primark dress (£8 each), so it was good for my bank balance! I would've come home with one or two more (in the same style) but they didn't have my size. I wasn't quite sure what the weather was going to be, but figured the days are running out to get away with wearing a maxi and cardi. I kinda wanted some colourful shoes to brighten the whole look, but I love these Bertie wedges so much and have always known they would look awesome paired with this dress. After my Monster High Monday, I decided I liked the bold green on my eyes so much that I'd wear it again. I think it looks striking against my hair.
Wearing: Cat face maxi dress ASOS, leopard print cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, unicorn ring Miss Selfridge, flower midi ring Matalan, butterfly cameo ring Primark, earrings Mawi, green Charming bag Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, back zip so you don't have to adjust the buckles every time. 4 3/4" wedge heel.
Comfort: No issues with these.
