Day 915 - I Promise I'm Not Trying To Make Your Life Harder

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

At very short notice, my old friend from Uni announced that she was coming to visit. I haven't seen her in at least 10 years, although we keep in touch via Facebook and with cards and presents on birthdays, Christmas etc, so I was really excited that she was able to come and see me. I can remember her being one of the first people (outside of the girls on my floor at the Halls) that I met and luckily it turned out she was in my class (nobody else on my floor was, which may not sound strange to some, but our Uni was very small and the rest of the girls were split between two courses and already had buddies to start the first day with and I was stressing that I knew nobody!).  Before I'd even properly spoken to her, I knew we'd be friends and she became my closest classmate.  I didn't have the bond with her that I had with my flatmates (we were like sisters), but we share a lot of interests and tastes, so she's always been really easy to get along with and yesterday was no different.   I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day (we went out for a very long lunch) as we talked constantly and she's slightly mental (always has been) and giggles almost non-stop, which can be annoying and yet contagious! I haven't laughed so much in years, my face actually hurt!  I'm paying for it today (and last night) with headaches and pain all over, but sometimes you just have to push yourself, if it's a one-off thing and it meant I got to feel a little 'normal' for the day.

Wearing: Floral dress Dorothy Perkins, grey leopard print cardigan Be Beau at Matalan, brooch Primark, pony ring, bracelet and pearl ring gifts, turquoise ring my Granny's, orchid hair clips ASOS, Minimal Baroque sunglasses (not shown) Prada, pink floral Charming bag Love Moschino.
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy to walk in.
