Day 998 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Cream 'One Who Charms' Irregular Choice

Day 998 and I'm almost running out of new shoes to show.  Or at least those I can access.  I've been photographing in bulk, when I've been feeling up to it but ran out of photos.
So this weekend went in search of other pairs I haven't blogged about here.  I found a couple, caused a mini landslide of shoe boxes and was so out of puff I had to give up.  I really hate my current shoe storage, it's no fun and all my fault for buying so many shoes.  We're almost at the point of emptying what will become my shoe-room, so then we need to organise a painter, order bookcases (still weighing up the doors or no doors thing) and get some flooring down.  It's much smaller than I expected and my collection is possibly much bigger than I realised, so don't be expecting great things!  It's not going to be the 4-walls of shoes I wanted (door, window and light switch take up space and cabinets don't fit the gaps left), so I can't see all my shoes fitting in there, which is a disappointment.  However anything will be better than avalanche alley! Plus I'll get some extra room back in my bedroom, instead of the wee pathway between shoe box piles that it is right now.  Anyway, I'm sure you'll recall me buying these...I probably wouldn't have bought this colourway had I known the black pair were coming out months later.  I don't really need both, but preferred the black and it had the matching bag that these didn't.  I sized up and as you can see below, the Velcro strap doesn't fully cross-over (though my feet are quite swollen just now) and the shoe itself is just right, so it was the correct choice.  They are out of stock now, but I've linked to the black pair which are still available.

Fit: 4 3/4" heel and 3/4" concealed platform. Velcro fastening on strap. Small fitting, I took a whole size up.
Comfort: Don't see any issues with these. Wearing Irregular Choice One Who Charms unicorn heels Irregular Choice cream One Who Charms Irregular Choice cream One Who Charms unicorn heels

  1. I collect old tins and have a system where we just put up shelving across all our walls and displayed the tins that way. Maybe something similar would suit your shoes? That way you wouldn't need to worry about fitting in cabinets. Let me know if you need a photo!

    1. Ideally that's what I'd like because it would utilise every bit of space, but my Dad is the worst DIYer ever and it would stress him out no end to have all those shelves put up! I'd probably be able to do it myself but am not well enough. Plus my parents aren't happy about something more permanent in the room, they'd rather it was cabinets so it could revert back to a bedroom if I left. I initially wanted doors to try and keep them dust free, but the expense of it was off putting and I thought it would look nicer without. Then my sister got some cabinets with and without doors and I tried a couple of pairs of shoes in them and they looked so awesome with the glass doors. So now I'm kinda leaning towards that again!

  2. I prefer this colour to the black, I think, but I'm not really a fan of the actual unicorn so I didn't go for these.

    1. I suppose I don't have anything like them colourwise in my collection, so they are quite unique.
