The Shoe Girl Styles It: ASOS Read My Lips
It's funny how these posts work sometimes. I wasn't really feeling a particular style or theme and chopped and changed the individual items so many times. Sometimes, it's like that and you end up building an outfit but something isn't quite right, you're at the point of scrapping it altogether, then you just tweak one or two pieces and it all falls into place. I've ended up really loving this look. Before I get ahead of myself, the shoes are Read My Lips from ASOS £45. Lower than I'd personally wear, yet something is drawing me in (probably the glitter). I have a feeling they'd be very versatile...I mean I'm sure many didn't expect this outfit to work with them, yet it does. I think they'd look adorable with ankle socks or longer socks and would work with tights as well. I like the deep wine colour too. So the first thing to make the outfit, was the skirt. A little floral number by Coast and despite pairing it with neutral tops such as soft peach or beige, I picked out the pastel blue. Not a colour I'd usually think to wear with wine, but the skirt is the item that brings both colours together. The little clutch is super cute in duck-egg blue and then I felt a darker accessory was required too and this Johnny Loves Rosie hairband fits the bill. Do you like it?
Worn with: Harlow fluffy top £55 and Sheena floral skirt £55 both Coast, ASOS clutch bag with pom pom £25 and Johnny Loves Rosie 'Carmen' floral headband £24.

ReplyDeleteThought you'd approve! ; )
DeleteAbsolute perfection.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm loving it! x
DeleteThose shoes are in my ASOS wishlist. As soon as I saw them, it was love! The colour + glitter = win for me, and I quite like the heel height of them. I love the way you chose to style it, I wouldn't think to use powder blue either, but it works so well!
ReplyDeleteThe colour is great...I've seen glitter lower heeled boots before, but I think it's that rich colour that's so enticing. I placed an ASOS order last night and was soooo tempted to buy these boots, but can't until I sort out my shoe storage : (
DeleteOh gosh, I love this whole outfit even though the boots are NOT the sort of thing I'd usually be drawn to!
ReplyDeleteI know, I wouldn't usually be either, but there's just something about them.
DeleteSaw these in a magazine and I fell in love. They may be in my wish list :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I almost bought them at the weekend x
