Shoes: Embellished 'Lana' Sophia Webster
Yes, the day has finally come, I've reached Day 1000! I will be writing another post on the momentous occasion later in the week, but for now "yay"!
I've been keeping these shoes for a special moment, as they were my very first pair of Sophia Webster (if you don't count the River Island pairs she designed). They were an online exclusive at Net-a-Porter (so quite rare) and it was love at first sight, so I saved and saved until I could afford them. The clear pvc is embellished with differing sizes and colours of sequins and glitter, finished with a huge layered bow across the toe. There's two ankle straps and a t-bar both at the front and back with completely open back and sides and a peep toe. If I'm totally honest, I think they look better off the foot than on. I feel they kinda get a bit lost on your feet and aren't as noticeable as they should be. I ordered a half size larger than normal and I'm glad I did, because they are very narrow (something I've found with all SW). Thankfully with the open feel of these, your foot isn't forced into a too-small space, but I'd still recommend a half size larger. Do you like these?
Fit: 4 3/4" heel and two adjustable buckle fastenings on the straps. Narrow, comfier with a 1/2 size larger.
Comfort: Despite the narrow heel, they appear easy enough to walk in. Your toes may feel crushed after a while because of the narrowness.
They are gorgeous! I wish I had a pair of Sophia Webster shoes (I particularly love your River Island ones). And congratulations on day 1000! Hurray!

ReplyDeleteIn the beginning, it was no repeats but now I've worn some more than once and have had more than 1000 posts now that I post more than just shoes on my feet. In the midst of trying to work out exactly how many different shoes I've worn since 2009 (slow process) and how many I still own!

Thank you. I must post a photo of it, think I have one somewhere! I nearly ruined my hair trying to get my natural colour half-white for Cruella...ended up throwing talcum powder all over it. Surprised I had any hair left after that!
