Would You Wear...?

I'm back with the next instalment of Would You Wear? Just in time for the weekend. Apologies for my absence this week, seems to be the season for endless phonecalls and door knocks, keeping me from my work! Anyway, last week if you recall, I showed you some khaki suede mules from River Island and only 5% said you'd wear them. We had 24% 'maybe' and a resounding 71% saying nuh-uh, no way. Don't blame you! What are we looking at this week? YRU Qozmo Unicorn Trainers stock photo

Well these rainbow, platform, horned YRU Qozmo Unicorn £99.99 trainers. They are bright, bold, colourful, very nineties and likely to cause injury if you somehow poked someone or dropped something on them! Yes, that is indeed a unicorn horn on the toe. Now I'm torn with these. I see that they're fun, unique and anything unicorn usually appeals. Would I honestly wear them? I wouldn't say no per se...I just don't see that style being an essential part of my wardrobe. I'm turning 35 in a few weeks, perhaps I'm eventually growing up. I can assure you, I'm not (I got the word 'goolies' in AlphaBetty earlier and I still haven't stopped laughing about it)! So my verdict is, I'm intrigued by these and would vote 'maybe'. What about you, love them, hate them? Let me know in the comments and click your answer in the poll below (it may have a little delay in loading). You can also pop over to Pink Haired Princess to vote on a fringed cape or is it a necklace or a string shopper? Hmmmm!

  2. I wouldn't say silly, but I don't see myself wearing them because of the unicorn horn - I would bump with it onto many things, I am sure!

  4. I actually felt a little bad when my vote was "no". I don't really think they are that silly, it's just that I'm already a really tall girl so wearing that much platform is just way too much for me :/ Also if the shape would be more like Jeffrey Campbell Lita I'd definitely be intrigued!

    1. Absolutely, I felt the same way about the 8" wedges Irregular Choice brought out...I'm not even tall, I just didn't want to be 8" taller!
