The Shoe Girl Styles It: Dolce & Gabbana Lace Ankle Boot
I'm back with a luxury edit of The Shoe Girl Styles It for the weekend (well what little is left of it). There's been a lot going on at home with my new shoe room this week (floor done, units ordered, arrived and built), so that's exciting! However, it's meant I've overdone the standing and trips up and downstairs. Every once in a while I suppose I subconsciously test myself to see if my body can withstand a little extra activity and every time it lets me down! It's really disappointing and on top of feeling completely shattered (sicky actually), it's dampened my enthusiasm and motivation for everything including my blog. I hate when that happens and I feel like it's been a constant cycle of this lately. However, there's light at the end of the tunnel for my shoe room (literally just have to move everything in) but I have to realise I can't do it myself and I've not to get disheartened about that. I wanted to blog tonight, more to prove I could still do it than anything else, but it all came together very easily and my creative vision was clear!
So onto the shoes and they are little Dolce & Gabbana lace ankle boots £620, with a centre back zip fastening and peep toe. When I saw this Moschino 'nun' like dress, I knew exactly how I wanted to style it and that it would work so well with these intricate boots. The dress is very minimalist, but I added so many frills, it became really interesting. I started to brighten up that collar area with two brooches; the Stefanel beaded one in the centre (and shown larger on the bottom) and the Reminiscence collar clip style shown in more detail to the right. Initially I was going to add a headscarf because I was in Ulyana Sergeenko mode, but when I spotted this DSquared2 fancy hairband thing, I decided it would work just as well. To finish I added a Dolce & Gabbana 'Sicily' bag printed with polka dots and colourful fans and flowers. The fan shape is mirrored in the collar clips and I love that the bag encompasses both the stark monochrome and colourful details I've replicated in the outfit. What do you think of this outfit?
Worn with: Moschino monochrome dress £621, Stefanel beaded brooch £57, Reminiscence fan collar clips £152, DSquared2 triple band jewelled hairband £210 and Dolce & Gabbana 'Fan Sicily' bag £1250.

DeleteI also don;t like trips up and down organizing things, but well, if its needed, let it be! I know what you mean, it does drain energy, no doubt! I loooved these shoes, and even more the Fan bag and the Moschino dress! I will get inspired and maybe I can dress in an elegant way for a change (I like Indian, boho, etc :) but I loved this look!

Thanks Denise x
DeleteI like the dress (a lot more than the shoes actually, just not into lacy shoes) and the bag is really interesting. Sorry about the shoe room not going as planned, whenever I need to go a big clean-up or something like that it definitely drains all my energy. I've been putting off doing the winter shoe switch around exactly for that reason!
ReplyDeleteOooh I love lacey shoes, think I've sold/given away most of mine though.
