Irregular Choice Festive Footwear: Day 22

My Pink Haired Princess Festive Beauty post is already up, I'm showing a limited edition eyeshadow palette from this year. Yesterday I blogged my gingerbread boots here and today I have a style from the new 2021 collection. As always, read to the bottom of the post for a little online treat.
You've already see my fit review post of these boots and I'd usually blog something like this on Pink Haired Princess. However rather than double up on photos, I figured I could post my more in-depth review here for a change, but there's no 'on the foot' photos as you can see that in my original post. These are Santa's Workshop and it's such a pity as I love the boot, but I returned them after trying them on. There was something just not right with the way they looked on me, from the front especially. There's a lot of detail in them and colour-wise they were a little different to past styles, so I'm sad they didn't work for me. Plus they were the only shoe I bought from the Christmas collection, so I ended up with none this year.
They feature the glitter Santa heel that we were first introduced to last year on Sleigh Ride. For some reason glitter Santa doesn't have red cheeks like glossy Santa, SR were the same. Otherwise, he's exactly the same. It's just the red outfit parts that are a fine glitter.
There's more fine glitter in a bright cobalt blue on the scalloped part of the toe and the tallest turret. This glitter is amazing, the colour is just stunning and my Mum is always making fun of me because whenever I buy makeup or shoes, I say "but wait, let me put my phone torch on it" and every time we are blinded by how much these things sparkle. Even things you didn't think sparkled that much, do under that light, so it's my favourite thing to do now 😄 It's gorgeous with a torch light as it doesn't twinkle that much in person because it's not chunky glitter. The little sprig of holly I think I spoke about in my fit review, that it was irritating. It's pretty, but it scratched at my tights/leg constantly (the invisible thread on the back attaching it to the boot being the culprit, but maybe my pair were worse than others). These end up being quite a bit taller than Sleigh Ride last year, which I hadn't realised until I put them side by side in that post.
You also have this white and silver glitter, with bigger chunks across the front and on the top of some turrets. It really looks like snow, which I like.
There's large doors on the side of each boot, again in a really cool material. A textured holographic in pale blue with snowflake door handles and white fur acting as snow on top. Behind this is a picture of the gingerbread boy and girl in front of a Christmas tree.  Each door has Velcro both top and bottom, which keeps them secure and prevents them from opening whilst wearing/walking.  There does tend to be a gap between the doors though, no matter how hard you try to close them neatly.
Then you have a snowglobe style feature with round windows with Mrs Claus in one and the elf boy and girl in the other, hidden behind glitter that you can shake.
Rather than a printed image, Santa is a small glittery plastic toy, hidden in a clear heart, which sits out from the boot. I've tried to photograph them from the side to capture how much it sticks out. It's not at all annoying and doesn't impact the leg like the bigger doll in Visionary Viper.
The inner side of the boot is a print of the night sky with the reindeer flying. There's a zip closure and elasticated gusset. As I mentioned in my other post, the gusset is a bit unnecessary as the boot has a wide/loose fit at the top anyway.
Underneath all that detail on the outer side of the boot is actually the fine blue glitter and I think that combined with the night print (which you see more of from the front than expected), widens this area. It's a mass of blue and difficult to tell each side apart and this seems to be the issue with them not looking particularly flattering on my legs. They widen the smallest part of my legs then stop at the widest part.
The soles are the AW21 dog design with "home sweet home" or "paws for thought" in bones. The lining is a marbled blue and red velvet which varies in colour/pattern placement.
I am sad I didn't keep these, but I want to be able to wear my shoes rather than them just looking pretty in a photo in my hand or on a shelf and I just didn't care for them on, unless from the side.
Today my treat is save £20 when you spend £80 at EMP with code SAVE.  Valid until January 3rd 2022.
