My migraine has finally lifted after several days, so I'm posting a double dose of festive Irregular Choice for missing yesterday. I did post a
Festive Beauty blog yesterday and today over on
Pink Haired Princess if you've missed those and my last post here was the
Christmas tree baubles from 2019 and 2020. As usual, read to the end of the post for a little treat.
We're going back to 2020 today and I might go out on a limb and say this is my favourite IC Christmas year. The return of the Santa heel, the advent boots, the lights and these absolutely amazing pieces I have today. I picked up the full set, because I thought it was all really lovely and colour-palette wise, completely different to my other festive IC's. My childhood teddy, who I couldn't sleep without (even in my early 20's), was named Clara after the lead character in The Nutcracker, as my friend gave me it for my birthday whilst we were both starring in The Nutcracker. I played a rat and was super disappointed at the charity shopped tops we were given (mine was a mustard oversized shirt and cropped sequin waistcoat) and Happit bought grey leggings that we had to sew a tail onto. I wanted to wear a dress or tutu, but always seemed to get the non-pretty dressed roles (was a pirate the year after) 😆 I really love the sugary, sweet, sparkling theme IC chose and am a big fan of the pastel colours with the dripping chocolate.
I just realised I don't have any decent photos saved of the
Nutcracker Dreams Bag (I either can't find them or didn't take any last year), but you get the gist. It's shaped like the
house bags which I blogged about here. I adore the fluffy beard and hair.
Which perfectly matches the
Nutcracker shoes. It's a T-bar style with the Sugar Plum Fairy on one shoe and The Nutcracker on the other.
The round glitter heels are extra special as one contains sound! You have the option to turn it on and off, but it plays the music from the Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy. Once on, it's activated by walking or in my case, knocking the heels together. I truly love it. In a future collection, I'd love to see an actual nutcracker heel, I think that would work really well. On little ankle boots with fluffy pompoms on the lacing!
I'm wearing them with the
Nutcracker Tights from the same collection. I posted a
fit review of these shoes last year if you're interested in that.
