selection of Irregular Choice Christmas collection 2021
A Christmas shoe or not, that is the question! My pair today aren't officially part of a Christmas launch and actually were released well outside the festive period, but to me, there's something about them that could make them a contender for festive footwear. First though, my Festive Beauty post is already up on Pink Haired Princess and my last Irregular Choice Festive Footwear post was Santa's Ninth. I've missed a day, but I'll see if I can catch up. As always, there's a little online treat at the bottom of each post.

These are Eros, part of the wing collection Irregular Choice launched in August 2017. Now, I know white shoes, white satin shoes are totally impractical, but I very quickly narrowed down my preference to these. Some styles had non-glitter wings, obviously me being me, I wanted the sparkly ones, the black just weren't appealing to me and I wanted a style with pearls, so I ended up with the white Eros style.

I LOVE the pearl anklet detail, which appeared on several styles that year. I styled these for the blog and social media back in the day, without them looking too bridal. My favourite is how they look with black fishnet tights. It's totally my style and it works so well 'hardening' these up a bit. I've worn these once (the floral sequin dress), to the official opening of the Manchester IC store back in 2018, just before Christmas. I loved how they looked with the dress, but also they felt quite festive to me. It's the angel comparison. The silver, the wings, the fluffy feathers...I can't help but be reminded of our church Nativity Play!

I know everyone wants to play Mary, but the fact the angels wore shiny, sparkly tinsel made that a very alluring role to me! Until I found out how scratchy tinsel is to wear 🤣

Anyway, that's why I'd class these as festive footwear, though not wear them exclusively at this time. As you can see throughout this post (unicorn PJ's aside), there's plenty ways to style them without looking like an extra in the nativity!  Also that cat insert is my favourite lining to look at in IC shoes.  I know I said I loved the purple floral the other day, if that had the addition of the winking cat, I'd be in heaven!  You can find my original fit review post here.
