Day 1069 - Shoesday Tuesday

Shoes: Take A Chance Irregular Choice

Hello, today I have a pair of shoes for you that I bought twice! You may remember I posted a review on Pink Haired Princess, after I bought them last year. I'd had the option of both my size and the size up, but then all of a sudden they were selling fast and I got one of the last pairs in my usual size (5/38). I was ecstatic, only to find on arrival, they didn't fit. Like really didn't fit, they were tiny! Of course by this point they were completely sold out, so I stalked them like mad. Long story short, it paid off and I eventually (months later) got a pair in the bigger size (6/39), a much better fit.
I couldn't even try the old pair on for you, because my entire heel was sticking out the back! I did persevere with tights and squeezed my feet in, but it was excruciating and I wouldn't have been able to stand. They are generally small all over, but extremely tight across the widest part of your foot. When I forced my feet in, this section pressed down and the pressure made me feel like my foot might explode. It was unpleasant to say the least and there's no trick that would've worked into stretching those puppies. Obviously the fit is much more comfortable on the size up, though still quite snug. The strap is relatively generous as you can see and I love the non-fiddly buckle.  I mentioned most of the lovely elements in that original review, but I want to reiterate; the embroidered quote on the back, the dice heel, the shimmering bow, holographic uppers, glitter and scalloped edging.  I didn't intend to buy two lots of dice heels, but these came out after my Poker Joker boots and I loved the shoes just as much (if not more) than those.  They are completely different to one another (even the dots on the dice are different colours) that you can easily justify owning both though.  The pictures truly don't do them justice.  What do you think, do you like these?

Wearing:  Hot Topic Disney The Little Mermaid 'Ariel and Eric' leggings.
Fit: 4" heel, adjustable buckle on ankle strap.  Small and tight fitting, I'd suggest buying a whole size up.
Comfort:  These have my lovely purple floral lining (aka the comfiest, cosiest lining ever) inside and the heel is very manageable, so I don't foresee any issues with these.

  1. They're lovely. Weirdly I did end up sizing up because they were the only pair left when my sis came to order them for me, but I find mine really big. So strange as I've heard so many people say they found them come up small. Wonder if maybe mine were wrongly labelled. These are definitely my favourite dice heel.

    1. It's funny you say that because I read several reviews beforehand that claimed they were generous or true to size, so I didn't even think of sizing up after reading those. Then when I got them, I was like "how on earth can anyone fit their usual size? They are tiny!!" Glad it all worked out in the end.
