Day Four Hundred & Seventy Two - The Shock Factor

Shoes: Floral tapestry 'Ablaze' wedge boots ASOS

Wowee, if I had a £1 for every person that said "Look at that girls shoes/hair" when I wore this outfit on Saturday, I'd be tres rich. Rich enough to not care that the Euromillions jackpot for Friday is £100,000,000! Ok, well not quite, but I couldn't take two steps without a comment, literally. It was funny because I wasn't quite prepared for the reaction they received and although I tend to be somewhat oblivious to people commenting on my attire (although in this instance I couldn't help but notice the reactions), I just didn't think people would even look at these shoes to be honest! I think it was all quite complimentary too (for a change), once they shut their gaping mouths and got over the initial shock (are the shoes really that shocking?). Although the girl that *ahem'd* REALLY loudly to her friend in H&M maybe wasn't so keen on them! One little girl even let me go on the escalator before her, just so she could stare at my shoes as I walked past her and stood in front of her, with her sister staring up at me from below me, awww! Old ladies always seem bemused at the height of my heels combined with the walking stick, as if it is somehow the result of those shoes and they kinda look disapprovingly. I was extremely impressed that they didn't hurt my feet, considering this was their first outing and I'm not often on my feet so much. Unfortunately and what I wanted to tell everyone was, that they are now out of stock on ASOS, sorry. I'm guessing they'll get more in though-they tend to. This dress is one of my most flattering, it's really lovely and excuse the manky hair, it really needed washed, but Mum and I decided at the last minute to pop out shopping instead.

Wearing: Floral dress Dorothy Perkins, leggings, cardi, rings and scarf all Primark, silk socks Kurt Geiger, shell clasp bag River Island, long chunky pearls Miss Selfridge.
Fit: True to size, 5 3/4" heel and 1 1/4" platform, lace-up front.
Comfort: Very comfortable and a nice steady base to walk on.
Also...look out for the month ahead of non-stop Irregular Choice shoes! I've decided I need a little challenge, so I'm going to wear my favourite brand all month long!

Day Four Hundred & Seventy One - Long Summer

Shoes: Lemon and lilac 'Dolly Mix' wedge Kandee

I'm back and with an internet connection that lasts longer than 10 minutes! The engineer came out this morning, after we were practically internet-less all weekend. It was a nightmare trying to deal with my eBay sales over the weekend, absolute nightmare. However we now have a new router and hopefully it's an end to the connection issues we've been experiencing on and off for months now. So this outfit is from...last Friday. It was a beautiful day, although it seems to have turned colder now (heating's on). I felt I haven't really had my wear out of my jumpsuits this summer, so wanted to give this one last outing.

Wearing: Be Beau floral jumpsuit with corsage (worn on jacket) Matalan, tan belt (taken from dress) New Look, peach bolero, horse scarf and sunglasses Primark.
Fit: Small fitting, require a full size up, 5 1/4" heel and 1 3/4" platform.
Comfort: I'd imagine the narrow toe would perhaps ache after a while, but no real issues with them.

Day Four Hundred & Seventy - It's All Up

Shoes: Black suede 'Metal Mickey' Office

Right enough we had no internet for the entire day/night yesterday. I was getting so stressed! I phoned the help centre last night and we're trying to 'monitor the situation' after moving a few cables around, but so far I've been able to connect for 10 minutes or so before it goes off-much better than yesterday! Anyway, I'm busy busy with my eBay sales, lots of bids in, so that's good. Another pair that finish in a couple of hours are these high sided courts with block heel. A tiny bit too small for me, which was disappointing as I love that heel and overall shape. I also have a couple of pairs of Irregular Choice up if you're interested, my old-school pink perpsex, studded bow sandals (never worn) and my purple snake cortesans-I'll add pics below to remind you ; )

Wearing: No outfit post, nude lace socks are Miss Selfridge.
Fit: Run a little small, not really enough to warrant going up a full size. 5" heel.
Comfort: Shouldn't be any issues with these.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Nine - Green Fingers

Shoes: Blue floral 'My Mums Garden' courts Office

Another pair of shoes from my 'buyers remorse haul'! Very pretty floral courts, but weighing on my mind of 'do I really need them?' Someone has already put a bid in on these, so if you want them, you better go for them on Sunday on eBay. I just thought I'd publish this post while I have the chance as it may get too busy this weekend. I also have a pair of Vivienne Westwood & Melissa wedges and another Office pair to show you that I'm selling.

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: True to size, 5" heel and small platform.
Comfort: Wouldn't think there would be any problems with these.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Eight - The Dance We Do

Shoes: Black and gold 'Tilted Tips' Office

Another day without the internet, this time until half 4 this afternoon-not good! Turns out you need to be pretty techy minded to follow the jargon on the help forum of our internet provider, but surely it has to be something with either that or the area, given that it works perfectly well when it does come back (shouldn't be modem, filter etc). Jeez, there's always something eh? I'm now really not looking forward to my eBay auctions ending on Sunday, as I'll be inundated with last minute questions and have a gazillion messages to send and payments to deal with but no internet. Impossible! Another pair I'm selling are these...I bought them, maybe last year? And I haven't worn them at all. They are gorgeous in the flesh, the gold brocade-like design is so striking an don't they kinda remind you of Scottish dancing pumps? I just haven't had my wear out of them at all, so good ol' ruthless me is passing them on! Shame I can't be so ruthless in the first place and stop myself from buying eh?

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: True to size, 4 1/4" heel and small platform.
Comfort: Don't foresee any issues with these.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Seven - Wood You?

Shoes: Green and blue striped 'Menna' by PPQ for Office

Whassup chickies? No internet again this morning...means I just spend hours sitting staring at the lights on the modem box thingy, getting nowt done! Did attempt to get dressed today then lost interest and didn't make it out, naughty me. Now the internet is back, I'm using it while I can, so here's my outfit from y'day. The shoes aren't the comfiest, a little (or maybe a lot) tight on me, but surprisingly easy to walk in, I felt very 'safe'. They have a superb polished wood platform and heel, but it's the stripes and bows that called to me!

Wearing: Blue polka dot wrap dress Barbara Hulanicki at Asda, cami underneath Primark.
Fit: Tight but true in length, adjustable buckle and bow moves on strap to where you need it.
Comfort: It was only because they were tight that they hurt me, hopefully they'll stretch a little with wear. As I said in the post, easy to walk in surprisingly.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Six - You Can't See It

Shoes: Taupe frosted platform 'Magic Trick' Office

Sorry it's a little later than usual. I've been without internet connection every morning, all week. It's really strange, it goes completely for hours, then all of a sudden comes back and is fine. Or at least it was until today, when it came back for an hour then disappeared again. Meanwhile the new dress I was going to buy (and actually had in my basket) sold out, grrr! I'm still uploading the outfit I wore today, so here's a pair of shoes you haven't seen before...and won't again. I just bought them last week along with a couple of other pairs then had buyers remorse. I just feel I don't *need* them and no matter how much of a bargain they were (and how cool that frosted perspex platform is), I can't afford to be splashing out unless I truly love them!! Plus they are very similar to the ASOS pair I have. So they're up on eBay, will finish on Sunday if you're interested.

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: True to size (or if anything a bit large), 5 1/2" heel and just under 1" platform.
Comfort: Don't foresee any issues with these.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Five - Up And Away

Shoes: KG by Kurt Geiger 'Ediva' platforms

I didn't have time to blog over the weekend. I was feeling rather poorly, the result of doing too much! I had been trying to bring some order to my room and at one point backed myself into the corner, completely surrounded by bags and boxes, up on my little stool with shoe boxes balancing precariously above my head, then a little spider decided to start running around on the floor next to me. Gah! However, I managed to free up some space and put more shoes up on eBay, without spewing (or dying), which I totally thought I was gonna do on Saturday night! Anyhoo, I'm trying to get back into my walking routine and popped out today. My feet were freezing, so I had to wear socks. These shoes are a size larger than I usually take and at first I thought I needed that, but actually they are just a little too big, not too bad though.

Wearing: Shell print dress, swallow print hair scarf and cardi Primark, high-shine leggings Miss Selfridge, blk/green socks Kurt Geiger, glasses Claire's.
Fit: True to size, 5 3/4 heel and 1 1/4" platform.
Comfort: Fine, concentration required when walking though!

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Four - Bye Bye Blythe

Shoes: Blythe 'Emi' wedge Irregular Choice

EBay are doing free listings this weekend, so it's yet another good opportunity for me to get rid of some unwanted items that are cluttering up my room! A pair of shoes I sold recently were these. Don't you love that heel or lack of? I just never found the right outfit for them though and they were quite small, so not the comfiest. I'm not sure exactly which shoes I'll be listing this weekend, I have a few re-lists and I'll see what more I can come up with!

Wearing: No outfit post.
Fit: Just over 4" heel. Run a little small.
Comfort: These were just too small on me, that's why I never wore them, a half size would be perfect.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Three - Did You Really?

Shoes: Cream and black 'Role' ankle boots River Island Design Forum

This is an old outfit that I never got the chance to blog about a couple of months ago. I can vaguely remember this day, I went shopping by myself and so my outfit was based around comfy items in my wardrobe. This dress had been new at the time, I love the flower-pot print, but your hips look a few inches bigger, as there's just so much fabric (and two layers of it) in the skirt section that it adds bulk. Personally, I'm not too bothered by that, I like a full skirt and couldn't really care if someone thinks my butt is bigger than it is! I'd say it definitely needs a belt and I swapped the tie one it came with for this 'real' one. The 'shop' photos were sneakily taken in Primark, where I had a nightmare of a time, because I grabbed the first changing room I saw and unfortunately it was manky inside with broken coat hangers, tickets and stickers. I have a phobia of stickers and they were EVERYWHERE, up the walls, stuck to the floor and the bench, eeek! I couldn't run back out because the attendant was right outside, so I just had to stay there and I did a gazillion checks afterwards that I hadn't got any stuck to me (shivers at the thought, bleugh)!!

Wearing: Yellow flower-pot print dress Dorothy Perkins, black leggings, cardi, sunglasses and pearls Primark, pink sparkly fox ring gift, parakeet ring Miss Selfridge.
Fit: True to size, back zip, 4 1/4" heel.
Comfort: Easy to walk in, the band across the toes can rub after a while.

Day Four Hundred & Sixty Two - Animal Fever

Shoes: Pewter sandals Miu Miu

Busy day today, returning stuff to Primark (yet came home with the same bag filled with swapsies!). Decided to be brave and 'walk it' seeing as my Mum still can't handle the wheelchair with her bad arm. I managed but I'm sore and I've come to the conclusion that all shoes hurt my feet when I have to do more than my usual 2 minute walk! It didn't help that it was pretty warm and my feet swelled in the heat. I live in leggings as you know, but got my pins out today, as the length of this dress works better with bare legs or tights. I love this dress and wish it would come out in loads of colours and maybe even with sleeves for winter (there are so many replica dresses like this in 'skinny' shops, but I haven't found any that would fit me). Final notes; I apologize for the bad nail polish (fingers and toes), I just can't be arsed doing it just now (oops) and I have no idea why I'm making an odd face in that photo, oh and the mirror image was taken in the shoe dept. in Topshop-I got bored and thought it looked cool (like my butterfly covered walking stick?). The ring photos were when we stopped for a mug of tea and rocky-road in Starbucks! Sorry no pics of that!

Wearing: Ok, let me get all the details here right. Coral lace dress George at Asda, black bow cardi New Look, snake bangle, sunglasses, belt (taken from a dress) all Primark, parakeet and frog rings Miss Selfridge, swallow clutch bag River Island, horse pendant Claire's.
Fit: True to size, tie front, 4 1/2" heel.
Comfort: Generally pretty comfortable and easy for me to walk in although after a few hours they start to rub.
